Ratanang Community Nutrition and Development Centre ignited in 2007 as Soup Kitchen, targeting orphans and the vulnerable children. By the organization’s primary focus was to provide nutrition, as many of the vulnerable were in a position of going to bed with an empty stomach. The organization was not registered with the Department of Social Development we used to seek donations in kind of food parcels from the local businesses, to sustain the project or the objectives, and also seeking educational instrumental tools to assist them with home works and assignments, as education is also part of our developmental agenda.

In 2009-06-02 Ratanang C.N.D.C started to register with the Department of Social Development, as an NGO as Ratanang Soup Kitchen. The organisation managed to pursue its objectives by continuing seeking the donations from the local businesses, and also seeking the funds from various departments and private sector.
In 2015 Ratanang C.N.D.C was funded by the National Department of Social Development till date, and the organisation was then evolved into a Community Nutrition and Development Center. Poverty alleviation and developmental programs, whose primary focus is the provision of nutritious meals, daily on week days to 300 beneficiaries who are impoverished and incapacitated, and the delivering of 50 takeaway meals to the bedridden and infirm beneficiaries.

Our primary focus is mainly in areas that require enough support to be able to bring growth and change within impoverished communities. The impact of our project model, is designed in a manner that plays a pertinent role in changing peoples lives.
